Response: Fishes

I am sorry Georgie, I know I have been ignoring you lately, but you have just gotten sooo boring.  In other news, I saw lots of fishes today.  I woke up and they were all swimming past and I thought they were so pretty so I just sat and stared at them, until eventually they got irritated and disappeared and strangely enough I was lying in bed.  I mean you would think the fishes would have a problem breathing air, but OH NO APPARENTLY THESE WERE SPECIAL FISHES.

But you know Georgie, I don’t really understand why we keep up this farce at all, it’s not making me happy, and I don’t think it makes you happy either, so why am I afraid to let you go?

It was so exciting at first, and when you were dead and I stole EmoBoy’s soul to save you, hmmmmm maybe that’s the problem, you have been reminding me of him a little lately….

Yeah! The return of my favourite character!

No matter how much I mistreated him in the first strip, I love Super HomoFag.

Look, see? I made a blog post! I don’t only bemoan my love life!

Response: When someone says “Feminism has gone too far,” they should probably stop before embarrassing themself further.

I’m not exactly sure what “feminism” means except for the following:

- It is a recipe for social change, with a strong focus on/through some or all women

I also know that

- Sadly, most people talk about feminism as a blanket term, when there is a similar range of belief in feminism as there is in Christianity. Talking about feminism as a whole is like talking about Christians (Catholics, Reformists, Pentacostals, Evangelicals, Unitarians, Quakers, Messianic Jews and Mormons*) in the same light

When you see something bad happen to someone repeatedly, do you start to despise them? Would this disgust be stronger if they were choosing to return to it? If they did, they’re weak obviously. They bring it on themselves. They refuse help. Pathetic!

Response: “You’ll see your buddy’s face mashed into goo, salute, and say ‘I’m proud of you.’ When you go home, you’ll have his girlfriend”

Why is risk-taking equated with masculinity? It’s been posited that the dominant mode of masculinity is a form of veiled militarism. Developing warfare into a skill above the level of a fistfight requires people to be in a headspace where they’re willing to risk their bodies/lives. The key to successful warfare is not skill, or weapons as much as coordination - and that requires discipline.

Response: Heart to Heart

So, Sharkie and I had a real heart to heart last night… it was so darling. I held a peice of bloodie fish in my hand while he stared at me longingly. I felt so wanted, so cared for, just the intentness of his gaze. Sharkie understands me, even if noone else does. I was on my way to feed the bloodie fish to Selkirk the Seal so I really had to rush, but did it ever warm my heart the way Sharkie followed me eagerly to the edge of his tank, and then, even made as if to jump out just to be WITH ME!

What a sweetie!
